Youth

Adelaide DBT offers a treatment programme specifically for the needs of young people. This includes the following components:

  • Skills training group
  • Individual therapy with an Adelaide DBT therapist
  • Between-session phone consultation for the youth
  • Workshops for parents/caregivers
  • Family Therapy
  • Liaison between our team and others involved in supporting you (e.g., GP’s, psychiatrists)

The program cost includes essential elements including:

  • Skills Group (20 weeks)
  • 3 workshops for parents/caregivers
This includes an information on DBT, information on emotion dysregulation; an introduction to DBT skills; and improving your relationship with your youth.
  • Monthly Family Therapy (to address the implementation of DBT Skills and improving the relationship)

We also require the youth to engage in individual therapy, however this is priced separately and the frequency is negotiable.

The full cost of the program applies should you miss any sessions or discontinue with attendance. This is $2500, or $2000 with a valid health care concession card. The prices below explain medicare rebates and indicate the weekly cost - payment plans MUST be discussed at the assessment appointment to be considered. Please see "Individualised" for the cost of individual appointments.

***Please note that we do not accept clients into our youth group who are not willing to engage in individual therapy with an Adelaide DBT therapist for individual therapy.***
